Spider-Man's Tom Holland recruited as Percy Pig in M&S Christmas advert

Spider-Man's Tom Holland has been revealed as the voice of Percy Pig for this year's Marks & Spencer's Christmas advertisement.

Peter Parker put away his superhero costume for a cosy ad that will be first airing on ITV's Good Morning Britain this morning.

This will mark the first time in Percy Pig's 30 years will be speaking and it's a great thing it's Tom.

Tom brings to life Percy’s surprise and delight as he uncovers our delicious festive showstoppers, from Triple Chocolate Panettone and Collection Golden Blond Christmas Pudding to delicate Collection smoked salmon.

Speaking of voicing Percy, the actor said: "I’ve loved Percy Pigs for as long as I can remember, and when I was asked to be his voice – his first EVER voice – it took me less than a second to say yes.

"Getting the snort right was a challenge, but I hope I nailed it and you all like what you hear! I did consider asking for a lifetime supply of Percy Pigs but I figured I’ve got to save room for all of that amazing M&S Christmas food!”

There will be eight ads in total and M&S' festive fairy is being voiced by none other than Dawn French.

Now that Halloween is over and the decorative skeletons have returned to their place in the closet, it's time to get excited about Christmas ads.

John Lewis's annual advert is the pinnacle of every festive season – and it looks as though 2021’s campaign is set to stun Christmas lovers.

And if the mysterious installations scattered across London and Newcastle are anything to go by, it’s likely that this year’s advert is going to be better than ever.

Much like every year, the advert has been kept under wraps, but the John Lewis team appear to have teased a number of mysterious themes in London and Newcastle as head-scratching installations can be found in random locations across the city's streets.

A few people have noticed what they have dubbed as ' UFO crash landings' in London's Southbank as well as Newcastle's Northumberland Street.

It's going to be another perfect X-mas ad.

Social media users have taken to Twitter to share the mysterious installations with others in order to figure out what they could be.

Both the London and Newcastle ‘crash landings’ feature signs which read: “Christmas is landing 04/11/21 #UnexpectedGuest”.

While the installations have sparked joy among John Lewis Christmas advert fans, a spokesperson for the brand has seemingly attempted to bat off the speculation.

“Speculation about our Christmas advert is always out of this world,” they insisted.
