Spider-Man Far From Home: Tom Holland teases scene that fans will "hate"

We do love a big twist in our superhero movies, but will we like this one?

Following the climactic events of Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man/Peter Parker (Tom Holland) will attempt to move on after some devastating losses and universe-shaking events.

He is soon drafted in, however, by Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) to tackle a threat from another dimension - the Elementals - and making Parker team up with Mysterio/Quentin Beck (Jake Gyllenhaal).

Fans are expecting some big twists as far as Beck is concerned, but will there be a big moment to trump the reveal in Spider-Man: Homecoming of Vulture/Adrian Toomes (Michael Keaton) being the father of Peter's love interest Liz (Laura Harrier)?

Tom Holland revealed to CinemaBlend.com that one scene is going to shock people.

MCU Phase 4 release dates revealed by Marvel - When does Phase 4 begin?

"There's a scene in this film where audiences will feel like they were punched in the face," teased Holland.

"Even filming it, I remember walking out and then watching it again on the monitors and asking Jon [Watts], 'Are you sure that's okay?' And he's like, 'No, it's not. People are going to hate this scene.'

"But it really… God, it's pretty crazy. And it's very similar in the way that it's very tense, and it sort of rips the rug from underneath your feet. It's pretty awesome."

That is certainly interesting, so should we be taking everything we learnt from the trailer as honest?

The film also sees the return of Zendaya as Michelle "MJ" Jones, Cobie Smulders as Maria Hill, Jon Favreau as Harold "Happy" Hogan, and Marisa Tomei as May Parker.

Spider-Man: Far From Home is released in UK cinemas on July 2, 2019.
