SpiceJet announces 8 new flights including 2 under UDAN

PUNE: SpiceJet on Tuesday announced the launch of new and additional flights including industry-first UDAN (regional connectivity scheme) flights connecting Pune with Bhavnagar.

The airline will connect Mumbai with Bhavnagar and is introducing additional frequencies between Ahmedabad and Pune. All flights will be available from May 5, airline officials said.

While the flights on the Ahmedabad-Pune sector will operate daily, the airline will connect Bhavnagar with Pune and Mumbai on all days except Saturday.

Shilpa Bhatia, chief commercial officer at SpiceJet said: “We are delighted to introduce new flights under UDAN and on un-served sectors. Our new connections between major cities of Gujarat and Maharashtra are part of our steady network expansion. We look forward to adding more destinations to the flight map of the country and contribute to the growth of travel and tourism.”

The airline’s Q400 aircraft will be deployed on these routes. Bookings are now open on www.spicejet.com, SpiceJet's mobile app and through online travel portals and travel agents.
