Spice Girls 'working on new material' and 'in contact' with Victoria Beckham

When the world started to fall apart in 2019, everything got a little bit better when the Spice Girls went on tour.

And I can reveal the foursome – Mel B, Mel C, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton – have this week been working on new music with top producers.

The ladies met in the capital to thrash out plans for a new record.

And they haven’t given up on roping in AWOL Spice, aka Victoria Beckham.

It comes after weeks of speculation about the next step for the superstars and will be their first music since Forever, in 2000.

My source reveals: “They have been working in London to gather their thoughts and start recording new material. It’s very exciting and in the early stages but it’s happening.

“They’ve also been in contact with Victoria to see if she can be involved.”

Surely VB, 45, can squeeze it in after missing out on their 13-date tour?

The ladies, who I revealed are also in talks for a Las Vegas residency, had said new songs were unlikely.

But in February, Emma, 43, gave hope, saying something might happen “after the tour, maybe,” adding, “We’re always like, ‘What’s next?’ Who knows?”

Mel B, 44, has always insisted they would unveil new tunes.
