Spice Girls stars Mel B and Geri Horner face awkward reunion after lesbian romp claims

Emma Bunton has insisted Spice Girl pals Mel B and Geri Horner will still be on the tour after revelations about their lesbian romp.

The duo are set to reunite for rehearsals just weeks after Mel lifted the lid on their alleged one-night stand.

Geri, who married Red Bull F1 team principal Christian Horner in 2015, denied the claims.

Asked if the tour was still going ahead, Emma said: “Of course it’s happening, we are starting rehearsals on Monday. It’s all fine. We have all chatted about it.

”We had fun back in the day. I didn’t know anything else but we are all good.

“I think we all know each other’s characters so well that we deal with each other in different ways, we have different friendships, so we work really well together. That's what is so good about us.”

Spice Girls' Geri says romp with Mel B confirmed she WASN'T a lesbian

Geri and Mel B’s relationship is in the spotlight after Mel recorded an interview for ITV series Life Stories last month.

In it, she said they had a lesbian fling in the 90s when the band were at the height of their fame. Mel, 43, claims she enjoyed a night of passion with Geri more than 20 years ago, which they “giggled” about afterwards.

Speaking on The Jonathan Ross Show, Emma was asked about Mel B not thinking before she speaks sometimes.

Emma said: “I love her. That’s what we love about Mel. She is so spontaneous. Even back in the day, it was so fun because she’d be causing mischief. “

Joking, she added: “I must admit, I was like, ‘What about me?’”

Asked whether Victoria might make a surprise appearance on the tour, Emma said: “That is not going to happen, I’m afraid.”

● The full interview is on The Jonathan Ross Show, ITV, tomorrow, 9.25pm.
