Spice Girls star Mel B in Twitter spat with radio host who accused group of miming

Spice Girls star Mel B has been embroiled in a spat with a BBC radio presenter who accused the band of miming.

The singer, 44, lashed out at BBC Radio Newcastle presenter Anna Foster over her review of the band's Sunderland show.

The band played at the Stadium of Light last night, and Anna said of the gig: "'I think there might have been a bit of miming here and there.

"I am just saying, I think there might have been."

The comment didn't go down well with Scary Spice, who tweeted the station to deny claims the band were lip-synching.

Mel tweeted: "FYI we don't mime pls correct yourself!! You guys are nice."

During the radio show, Anna was full of praise for Mel, but claimed she looked like she'd had "a bit too much work done".

Anna said: "Scary was in a full on leopard skin outfit. She looked phenomenal.

"But if I am going to be honest, quite a lot of work done, everywhere.

"A bit like she had been in a wind tunnel. Too much. I was at the back and I could still see it.

After hearing about Mel's tweet, she added: "I did say I thought Mel was fantastic. I thought the gig was incredible.

"I was just very, very honest about one particular performance."

However, Anna did not hold back in her criticism of Mel's bandmate Geri Horner.

She said: "I do not think Geri could have carried off the solo bits.

"Can I take my gloves off? She was not good. She was not a good singer. She was not a good dancer.

"She had lost so much weight, for me I just wanted to take her for a stottie cake."
