Spice Girls speak out on 2022 reunion tour including Victoria Beckham

For the Spice Girls fans among us, 2022 is set to be a good year as it is set to be the year the Spice Girls finally reunite.

According to Melanie C, otherwise known as Sporty Spice, the possible reunion is something all the bandmates 'passionately want' including Leeds' very own Mel B.

Speaking to OK! Magazine, Melanie C said that she is certain that a Spice Girls comeback will happen in the near future, with all five members including herself, Emma Bunton, Mel B, Geri Halliwell, and Victoria Beckham - who previously refused to reunite with the iconic band.

The 47-year-old insisted that all her bandmates 'all passionately want to do it'.

Currently, even though the former band are not touring together just yet, Melanie shared that they are always in constant contact with one another and are 'always talking about' performing together again.

In her interview with OK! Magazine, she said: "I tell you something, there will be if I’ve got anything to do with it.

“We’re constantly talking about it. The girls have had meetings and it’s something we all passionately want to do.

“We’re working through the ins and outs of Covid to try to make it happen.”

The last time the iconic girl band took to the stage was in 2019 but infamously without Victoria Beckham – for a UK and Ireland tour.

But this time around, despite Posh Spice opting out of the last tour, Mel C revealed that the five singers are now in the 'best place ever with one other."

She said: "We’re in the best place ever. We have more respect for each other than ever before, we’re all mums and we all know each other so well".

"Even though Victoria wasn’t with us on stage for the last tour, she was completely with us in spirit and 100% there behind the scenes.

“We wanted her to be happy with everything, so she was involved with all the creative aspects of the show.”

The news comes after Mel C said she has been 'chipping away' at Victoria in an effort to convince her to return to the group after she missed out on the 2019 Spice World tour.
