Spice Girls raked in millions each for 2019 tour without Victoria Beckham

The Spice Girls raked in millions of pounds each after touring the UK and Ireland last summer – without Victoria Beckham.

Mel B, Emma Bunton, Melanie C and Geri Horner made a small fortune each after they performed a 13 date tour between 24 May and 15 June 2019.

According to reports, an initial payout for the gigs have seen the four ladies pocket seven figure sums following the sold out stadium tour which pulled in almost 700,000 fans.

The tour – which troubled singer-turned-fashion designer Vicky, 46, declined to take part in due to other commitments – had been the groups first tour since their 2012 Olympics performance.

According to The Sun, the two Mels, Emma and Geri each pocketed £4.4 million according to latest accounts filings following the first payout from the tour.

The 13 date tour is believed to have made a total in excess of £63 million in revenue after the ladies performed to crowds in Dublin, Cardiff, Manchester, Coventry, Sunderland, Edinburgh, Bristol, and London.

The chart topping band have since teased fans that other tours could soon be on the cards – although the ongoing coronavirus pandemic has delayed plans.

Last month, 46-year-old Mel C said the group were holding weekly discussions relating to a follow up tour.

“Touring is up in the air right now but that was my wish. I wanted to make the solo record but I wanted to carve out time for that and those shows,” Mel, who recently released new single Who Am I, said.

“But getting four people to agree on times, places and duration is really, really hard. We stay in touch, the door and the dialogue is open,” she continued.

“We are discussing opportunities on a weekly basis, so I like to think that at some point we’ll be back out on the road,” she teased.

The Spice Girl financial wins come after former member Vicky continues to see financial woes.

The dark haired star was slammed by the public earlier this year after plans to use government money to furlough staff of her failing fashion empire despite her reported £335 million family wealth made headlines.

The furore forced the former singer in to a humiliating u-turn – although public opinion continued to be negative of the star following the leak.
