Spice Girls' Mel C savagely brands Geri Horner 'untalented' in unearthed clip

An unearthed video clip from 2003 has shown Spice Girl Melanie C blasting Geri Horner's talent.

Mel Chisholm pulled no punches when discussing her former Spice Girl bandmate Geri Horner née Halliwell during an interview with Cat Deeley on CD:UK Live in the 17-year-old footage.

Sporty Spice - who was appearing on the music show to discuss her solo career after the Spice Girls split in 2000 - was asked by host Cat her opinion on Geri - who left the band in 1998 - critiquing other pop musicians at the time.

The presenter and I Turn to You hitmaker can be seen sitting in the studio surrounded by an audience of music fans in the unearthed clip.

The video begins as Cat asks Mel C: "Liam and Noel Gallagher, they were saying, well what right does Geri Halliwell have to kind of comment on other people and pop acts?

"Does she have the qualifications? What is your opinion?"

Mel C brazenly responds in the clip: “My personal opinion is that I don’t think that she does, I don’t think she is of a talent.”

As the crowd gasps, Mel smiles as she adds: “Oh no it’s my first day back and I am being controversial!”

Digging the knife in deeper, the singer then adds: “No but I don’t think she is of a talent to comment on other people’s talent.

"That is my opinion!”

However, 17-years-later it seems that it is water under the bridge Geri Horner, 46, and Melanie Brown, 43, Emma Bunton, 43, and Melanie C, 45, reunited for a comeback tour in 2019, sadly Victoria Beckham, 44, decided to not join the original line-up.

And during their final gig at Wembley Arena Geri apologised for quitting the Spice Girls twenty one years ago.

Between songs, she said: "I need to say something I should have said a long time ago.

"I'm sorry. I'm sorry I left. I was just being a brat. I want to say it's just so good to be back with the girls that I love."

At the time Geri blamed exhaustion for leaving the group but later in the documentary Giving You Everything, she felt like a stranger within the group.

She said: "I felt I didn't belong any more. They didn't need me any more, really, and I definitely felt very redundant."
