Spice Girls' Mel B offers £4,000 reward to catch thief who broke into car outside her Los Angeles home

Mel B has offered a $5,000 (£4,000) reward to catch an alleged thief who broke into her car outside her Los Angeles home.

The former Spice Girl posted black and white footage on Instagram showing a man appearing to take suitcases from a car outside her house in Beverley Hills on Friday at 5am local time.

The 41-year-old has offered to pay anyone who can identify the “scumbag”.

She said police were investigating the incident but the couple were also keen to gain help from the public.

Mel B asked fans to contact her husband Stephen Belafonte via Instagram if they had any information about what had happened.

“Neigbour by neighbour we are going to track you down. The police already have a good idea who you are, but in the meantime anybody who wants to make that 5000 dollars, DM my hubby right now,“ she wrote on Instagram.MelB.jpg

Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, said the couple would wire the reward money to anyone who was able to help them.

She is reuniting with fellow former Spice Girls Geri Horner and Emma Bunton in a group called GEM and they have recorded a new song called "Song For Her".
