Spice Girls in Edinburgh: No drop-off or pick-up points at BT Murrayfield due to road closures

People heading to see the Spice Girls today are being reminded that there will be no drop-off or pick-up points near BT Murrayfield.

Edinburgh Police have taken to social media to let people know that they'll not be able to arrive too close to the ground if getting a lift in due to a series of road closures.

They add that Edinburgh Zoo is being used as the suggested meeting point.

The measures are in place throughout the day as a number of roads close down for the concert.

Roseburn Street, Riversdale Bridge, Roseburn Terrace, West Coates, Grosvenor Street, Haymarket Terrace and Haymarket Yards are all hit by closures.

Closures on Russell Road, Balbirnie Place, Rosebery Crescent, Magdala Crescent, Corstophine Road, Murrayfield Road, West Approach Road, Westfield Road and West Maitland Street will also be in place.

Many of the routes will remain off-limits until the early hours of Sunday.

Thousands of people will flock to BT Murrayfield for the massive show tonight.

The stadium will open at 5pm before support act Jess Glynne takes to the stage around 7.15pm. The Spice Girls are then expected on around 8.30pm.
