Mel B says she hopes the next Spice Girls show will be "much, much better" after some fans complained about the sound quality at the Dublin performance.
Four of the five Spice Girls returned to the stage on Friday night, kicking off their much-anticipated Spice World reunion tour in front of a crowd of nearly 70,000 fans at Croke Park.
But while it was a night of fireworks, iconic costumes and lots and lots of ecstatic screaming, not every fan was happy with the show.
Some took to Twitter complaining they were unable to hear the concert.
The problem appeared to be up in the stands, high above the action on stage.
"There's something wrong when the crowd at Spice Girls concert are all sitting down because no one has a clue what song is on because the sound really is THAT bad," Sabrina Egerton said on Twitter.
Ms Egerton said it was disappointing given she paid more than $170 for her ticket.
"The sound is awful," she said.
"No one has a clue what there're singing.
"No speakers on the levels at all. Just the ground."
Other fans agreed, some pointing out how much it pained them to criticise the singers, turning their dismay towards the venue and music promoter MCD Productions.
The ABC has contacted Croke Park and MCD Productions for comment.
Mel B, whose real name is Melanie Brown, addressed the complaints in an Instagram story after thanking fans for turning up to the show.
"We will see you in Cardiff," she said.
"And hopefully the vocals and the sound will be much, much better."
But despite the complaints, many other fans praised the performance.
The Dublin show was the first of a string of concerts across the UK, with the tour wrapping up in London on June 15.
Brown, Mel C (Melanie Chisolm), Emma Bunton, Victoria Beckham and Geri Halliwell last performed together as the Spice Girls in 2012 for the London Olympics.
Since then, a reunion tour has been eagerly awaited by fans.
Victoria Beckham, who rose to fame as Posh Spice, decided not to join the tour, but took to social media to wish the Spice Girls well on their opening night.
The four singers wore costumes studded with Swarovski crystals that paid homage to their past, with costume designer Gabriella Slade describing the outfits as "2019 but with a nostalgic blend".
She explained that each of the singers had their own "house" with a distinct visual brand.
Ginger wore a regal Union Jack ensemble, Scary donned sparkly leopard print, Baby was dressed in pinks and Sporty's aesthetic was "Marvel meets sportswear".
