Spice Girls Edinburgh: The banned items you can't take into Murrayfield

If you're getting ready to spice up your life next weekend at the Spice Girls gig at Murrayfield , then there's a few key things you should know before you go.

Organisers have released a list of prohibited and banned items you can't take into the Edinburgh stadium next Saturday, June 8.

Four of the original five Spices - Geri, Mel B, Mel C and Emma - will be pulling out all the hits when they take to the stage for their long awaited tour. And we don't want you to miss a single moment of the fun.

Selfie sticks are banned, which may come as a blow to some fans hoping to capture the night with a few selfies. Umbrellas are also not allowed - so fingers crossed it's not raining.

We've taken a look at the list of restricted items so you don't end up having security guards yelling Stop right now at you.

Small bags only

Scottish Rugby operates a ‘small bags only’ policy for major events at BT Murrayfield. The policy will be applied at the Spice Girls concert.

Ticket holders will only be allowed to bring in bags up to A5 size – equivalent to a small clutch bag - measuring 21cmx15cmx8cm. Bags larger than this will not be allowed into the stadium - this will be strictly enforced.

The small bags policy is a consequence of our ongoing management of security which focuses on keeping BT Murrayfield a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Here's what's banned:

• Weapons of any kind or anything that could be considered a weapon

• Alcohol

• Glass bottles or aluminum cans

• Umbrellas
