Spice Girls Cardiff: Fans take to Twitter to complain of concert sound

Spice Girls fans have complained over the sound at their Cardiff concert.

Dozens of fans have taken to social media to complain that they can't hear the girl band on stage at the Principality Stadium.

It comes after dozens of fans who attended the show at Croke Park in Dublin for the first leg of the reunion tour also took to social media to complain about sound issue.

Speaking on Radio Wales on Tuesday morning, concert-goer Alison Powell said she and a friend left the concert 45 minutes before the end due to sound issues.

She said: "It was really, really disappointing.

"I just couldn't hear anything they were singing, the band was drowning them out. You couldn't hear the harmonies, you couldn't hear the words.

"When they started talking to each other, and there was banter on stage you just couldn't hear it.

She added: "We weren't the only ones leaving. From where we were we could just see people leaving in droves."

On Monday one fan said the sound on the floor of the stadium was "appalling".

Another fan said the sound was not "100%" and was worse when the group when talking to the crowd.

Spice Girl Mel B responded to fans at their Dublin show on their 2019 world tour after concert goers said they "could hardly make out the words they were saying".

A frustrated-sounding Scary Spice took to Twitter to reassure fans that the show in Cardiff on Monday would be "better".

"Hey guys, thank you for attending our show tonight in Dublin," she said on her Instagram while lying in bed.

"We will see you in Cardiff.

"And hopefully the vocals and the sound will be much better," before sighing.

Despite the assurances fans at the Cardiff show still didn't appear pleased with the sound.

The Spice Girls are set to play three nights in Manchester from May 29 to June 1.
