Not many people know this but Spice Girl Mel B and her family have a long-standing link to ITV’s Emmerdale.
A year before becoming a global superstar in 1994, Harehills girl Mel B cropped up as an extra in Emmerdale and went on to make two further appearances before hitting it big.
We don’t have a photo of Scary Spice in Emmerdale but we do have a photo of her in the other ITV soap Coronation Street from around the same time.

Fans might remember Mel B made eight appearances in Corrie.
Mel played Amy, a checkout worker at Bettabuy who dated Andy McDonald.
The character later went on to exit Weatherfield for the more exotic climes of Trinidad.
Mel B’s younger sister Danielle appeared in Emmerdale like her sibling.
She was originally an extra before being cast as Roy Glover's girlfriend Paulette Lewis.
He dumped her after he found out that she had kissed Scott Windsor with Paulette, taking that as her cue to leave the village.
