SPFL run poll about which Rangers defeat to show on day of Ibrox dossier

It's been a day everyone involved in Scottish football will remember for a while as Rangers finally presented their case against the SPFL.

The 200-page dossier landed on Thursday morning as member clubs, fans and interested spectators waited to see what was inside.

There will be no doubt plenty said in the coming days ahead of Tuesday's EGM as clubs decide whether the evidence on display warrants an investigation into the league body.

And the SPFL found themselves, by public demand, running a poll for fans to choose which Rangers hammering to enjoy this weekend on their Twitter account.

The Ibrox side's infamous 6-2 thrashing against rivals Celtic is an option as is the 3-0 defeat to Motherwell that put paid to their extended their Premiership dream back in 2015.

The league and their social media would be quick to point out that those two matches were chosen by the public as the finalists from a pool of eight fixtures earlier in the week.

And it's the Steelmen's resounding win that's currently in the lead.

The SPFL moved quickly to react in the wake of the release as they hit back at the Ibrox side.

It read: "Since Rangers publicly demanded the suspension of the SPFL's chief executive and legal counsel, everyone in Scottish football has waited patiently for them to present their case.

"However, an initial examination of their 'dossier' has failed to identify a single shred of evidence to support Rangers' vociferous claims of corruption, bullying and coercion by SPFL staff.”
