SPFL release play off dates as crunch Championship promotion fixtures revealed

The dates for the semi-final of the Championship play-off matches have been confirmed by the SPFL as Morton fight for survival.

The Greenock side are facing the risk of relegation to the third tier having slumped to second-bottom this season.

They will travel to Montrose, who claimed fourth spot in the division ahead of Falkirk on the final day of the season on May 8, with the return at Cappielow on May 11.

Paul Hartley's Cove Rangers will be disappointed to have not claimed the title ahead of Partick Thistle, but can still earn promotion this term and start their play-off bid against Airdrieonians on the same day.

The final standings for the League One play-off spots are still to be confirmed with Clyde still able to avoid the relegation scrap with a win over East Fife this week in the rearranged clash.

Either The Bully Wee or Dumbarton will face Stranraer this Saturday, and Edinburgh clash with Elgin over two legs.
