SPFL board revealed as Hamilton Accies chief and Clyde supremo join top brass

Some new recruits from Lanarkshire have been elected to the SPFL board for the new campaign.

Hamilton Accies vice-chairman Les Gray has elected to the board. He was recently involved as one of the heads of the league reconstruction group alongside Ann Budge.

Clyde vice-chairman Gordon Thomson will also act as a representative for League One and League Two alongside Ken Ferguson of Brechin City.

Earlier this month Motherwell CEO Alan Burrows revealed he would not stand as a candidate for re-election as the SPFL board needed freshness and new ideas.

The seven club representatives are made up of three Scottish Premiership representatives, two from the Scottish Championship and two covering Scottish League 1 and Scottish League 2.
