The SPFL has revealed next season will kick-off in July as they confirmed the return of the January winter break for the Scottish Premiership.
The competitive action in the 2021/22 season will get underway with the League Cup group stage on the weekend of July 10/11, followed by all four divisions in the setup kicking-off league duties on the weekend of Saturday, July 31.
And it has been confirmed the top flight will take a two-week break between January 3 to January 21.
Fixtures for next season will be unveiled in June.
The League Cup will start on July 10/11, with further matchdays on July 13/14, July 17/18, July 20/21 and July 24/25.
The SPFL have also stated that the dates for next season’s Challenge Cup will be confirmed in due course.
