'Spend big now' Pundit gives clear advice to Leeds United

Pundit and former Tottenham player Jamie O'Hara has voiced the opinion of many Leeds United fans during the Alan Brazil Sports Breakfast on talkSPORT, urging Leeds to 'spend money now'.

Discussing the current feeling around the club, the ex-Wolves player said: "The problem is they're going to get edgy because it always seems to happen to Leeds, come after Christmas they look like they're walking away with it and they lose a couple and then everyone gets a little bit edgy round the place so they need to stick in, they'll have to grind out, keep grinding out results.

The current Billericay Town manager has his own thoughts about what is causing problems at Leeds and the best way to address them.

He said: "If you look at the top scorers in the Championship, there isn't a Leeds player in it, so that for me says that there's a problem and they need to score more goals so do they bring in someone?

"The Championship is all about putting a run together so if you can be that team that is after Christmas and you're flying and the confidence is there... I would definitely say it's nowhere near.

"For me they need to bring in a striker Leeds. They need to spend now. Spend money now on a player that's going to get you into the Premier League because when he's in the Premier League he can still be a great player for you but you have to spend big now and get him, give him the money he needs and then he'll come in and score you the goals to get you up."

The January transfer window is open until 11pm on Friday, January 31.
