Speirs Wharf: Man's body pulled from Glasgow canal

A body has been pulled from the water at Speirs Wharf this evening.

Emergency services rushed to the scene at about 6.40pm today and Police Scotland recovered the man's body from the canal.

Officers remain at the scene as enquiries continue into the incident.

A police spokesman said: "At about 6.40pm on Monday, 22 July 2019, police were called to reports of a body in the ater at Speirs Wharf, Glasgow.

"Police attended and the body of a man was recovered from the water.

"Police remain at the scene and enquiries are ongoing."
