Speedway star, 15, on life support after suffering serious brain injury in high-speed crash in Glasgow

A young Speedway driver is on a life support machine after suffering a serious brain injury from a high-speed crash.

Sam Norris, 15, was riding his 250cc bike in the British Youth Championships at the Peugeot Ashfield Stadium in Glasgow when he was involved in a serious crash on Sunday.

He was rushed to a hospital in Glasgow with a serious brain injury and remains on life support.

The race was abandoned following the horror crash.

A statement from his family read: "Sam is now at paediatric intensive care unit in Glasgow.

"He has a serious brain injury. The staff are observing his condition.

"He's on life support. Thanks to all concerned and please pray for him to get well."
