Speedo Mick celebrates smashing his £250,000 fundraising target

Super fundraiser Speedo Mick has today smashed his target of raising £250,000 for charity.

This Saturday, Speedo Mick – Mick Cullen, 55, from Dovecot – is due to complete his 1,000 mile charity walk from John O’Groats to Land’s End.

Fans of both Liverpool FC and Everton FC have called for the inspirational fundraiser to receive a knighthood for his charity walk wearing only his Everton trunks and scarf, which has had national coverage in the media.

Soon after donations on Mick’s Gofundme page broke his £250,000 target today, he posted a video on Twitter to celebrate.

In the video, an overjoyed Mick can be seen running and dancing at a zebra crossing as the news reached him.

Delighted by the amount raised, he raised his arms and repeatedly shouted “get in there!”

Obviously grateful to his supporters, he added: “£250,000 we’ve reached the target – get in there you beauty!

“We’ve done it everyone!

“A quarter of a million pound in my knickers.
