A driver has been recorded doing 90mph on a 50mph stretch of the A1, police have said.
Officers from Dalkeith's road policing unit were in an unmarked car enforcing the speed limit on the road at the weekend.
They said they recorded numerous speeding drivers, including one doing almost double the speed limit.
The driver has been reported to court following the incident.

It follows similar police activity on the A90 to the west of Edinburgh on Saturday.
A driver there was ticketed after being caught doing 59mph in a 40mph zone.
