Police are attempting to piece together a chain of events on Monday afternoon which involved a road rage incident and culminated with a confrontation between two drivers in Kambah.
The series of events began around 4pm when a sedan, reported as either silver or gold in colour, was being driven southbound on the Tuggeranong Parkway.
There are reports this vehicle was being driven erratically, swerving through the traffic and speeding.
It clipped a red Hyundai which then rammed into a barricade and a woman was injured. The sedan which caused the incident then drove from the scene without stopping.
Police are now attempting to determine whether this incident is linked to a road-rage type incident around one hour later which started on Namatjira Drive, Chapman and culminated at the intersection of Sulwood Drive and Drakeford Drive, in Kambah.
This incident involved two drivers, one in a silver Mazda 323 and another in a white Isuzu truck.
An altercation took place in the Kambah intersection, during which an unknown member of the public intervened and spoke to both parties.
Police would like to speak with the person who stepped in to intervene, and anyone else with information about this incident, in order to generate a better understanding what transpired.
Any witnesses to either of these incidents, or any available dash-cam footage which may show any detail of these incidents, are requested by police.
Anyone with information that can assist police is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or via the Crime Stoppers ACT website. Please quote 6955700 (Kambah incident) and 6957526 (Parkway incident).
