The father of a 24-year-old who was killed on a speedboat said he suspects police "haven't got a clue" about the whereabouts of her fugitive killer.
Jack Shepherd, 31, was convicted of manslaughter by gross negligence at the Old Bailey after a trial in his absence, and has been on the run for almost 10 months.
The web designer faces six years' imprisonment over the December 2015 incident when his speedboat capsized during a late-night cruise after a champagne-fulled first date on the River Thames.
Speaking to the Daily Telegraph, Graham Brown said he had "no confidence" the authorities were looking for Shepherd.
He told the paper: "They've posted him missing on Interpol and that's about it.
"I would question what kind of priority and resources they're putting into finding him."
Mr Brown added that he did not understand why a friend or family member has not told Shepherd to face justice, saying: "If my son had done this, I would be calling for him to give himself up."
Police conceded last week they are not aware of the whereabouts of Shepherd, and said he may be using bank accounts belonging to friends to fund his life on the run.
While on the run, Shepherd has contacted his lawyers to appeal against the conviction.
