Speed restriction on village road as further two Monklands roads are set to be affected by closures

A speed restriction is in place on Caldercruix's A89 Airdrie Road until this Friday, September 3.

The 10mph limit, in place due to carriageway resurfacing works, applies from Rockwood Place to Craigsmill Wynd.

Meanwhile, further carriageway resurfacing works mean a Coatbridge road will shut for five days from Monday, September 6.

The closure is on Lochview Road, between Townhead Road and Gartcloss Road, and the former road and Lomond Road are acting as diversions for motorists.

Finally, the northbound carriageway at Glencraig Street in Airdrie will close for 13 days from September 16, from the extended north kerb line of Kippen Street northwards to the extended south kerb line of the A89 Deedes Street, to allow for work by Scottish Power.
