Major traffic changes brought in as roadworks continue on A52

There are two new speed cameras along a busy stretch of the A52 which is undergoing roadworks.

The speed limit has also been lowered from 40mph to 30mph on the road passing through Radcliffe-on-Trent until the work is completed.

The speed cameras are located at Hillside Road and Hudson Way.

National Highways project manager, Kanishka Varoon said: “Safety is our priority and we’ve put a temporary speed limit in place to help keep motorists and our workforce safe from passing vehicles.

“We’ve also installed advisory speed limit signs along this stretch of road to ensure motorists slow down before entering the roadworks.

“We’d like to thank the motorists for their patience while we carry out this vital upgrade work and to leave additional time for their journeys.”

The works started in September this year as part of planned improvements at numerous junctions on the A52 being undertaken by National Highways.

Improvements to Nottingham Road and Cropwell Road junctions in Radcliffe-on-Trent are already complete, with current work being done to improve the Bingham Road junction.

National Highways says the work across the A52 will serve to reduce congestion along the busy route and lead to less queuing.
