Speed hits 25+ deaths trying to conquer Minecraft Hardcore bosses with Kai Cenat

IShowSpeed and Kai Cenat have discovered that Minecraft Hardcore is a lot less forgiving when the goal is to take down its biggest four bosses, with the chaotic run now reaching Day 5 and Speed already crossing 25 deaths.

The streamers have spent most of their runs gearing up, exploring, and repeatedly throwing themselves into some of Minecraft‘s most dangerous encounters. Unlike a regular survival world, however, Hardcore leaves very little room for mistakes, making every boss fight a potentially run-ending disaster.

And Speed has learned that the hard way. Whether it’s chat baiting him into eating a pufferfish or a skeleton casually landing the killing blow, the duo has turned simply reaching their first boss into a nightmare. For the challenge to be completed, the duo has ten days to kill four of the game’s bosses, which are the Ender Dragon, the Wither, the Warden, and the Elder Guardian.

The goal of the series is to defeat all four bosses in a single Hardcore run within 10 days. If Speed and Kai fail to pull that off, they’ll switch tactics and attempt the bosses across separate runs before calling the challenge complete. The duo has already proven they can go the distance, having previously beaten Minecraft in Hardcore after a grueling 106-hour run.

The longer Speed and Kai survive, the more prepared they become for Minecraft’s toughest fights, but Hardcore’s unforgiving rules mean one bad decision can wipe out all that progress.

With their gear improving, the duo is better equipped to take on Minecraft’s nastier encounters, but Hardcore leaves no room for complacency. Just ask Speed, who once threw away an 11-hour run by shooting a Zombified Piglin, only for the enraged mob to overwhelm him despite having a Totem of Undying.

Kai has his own collection of Hardcore blunders, too. One of the most infamous came when he died to a Vex despite having a Totem of Undying sitting in his inventory, forgetting to use it when he needed it most. The death sent Speed into a full-on crash-out, creating an all-too-relatable moment for anyone who has watched a teammate throw away a perfectly good run.

Speed’s death count has now climbed past 25, turning what should be a simple boss-killing adventure into something of a Minecraft endurance test. At the time of writing, the run is currently on Day 5, and the stakes are only getting higher with Speed currently at 27 deaths, whereas Kai is at 15 deaths, making the duo just shy of eight deaths to reach the half-century.

For Speed, these deaths have already shown just how difficult the challenge can be. Yet the run is still going, with the pair continuing their push toward the bosses standing between them and a successful Hardcore adventure every day.

If they can finally put the deaths behind them, Speed and Kai could turn the chaotic run into one of their most memorable Minecraft challenges yet.
