Scots who were woken up by thunderstorms last night have captured spectacular videos of lightning piercing the night skies.
Weather watchers across the country captured footage of lightning bolts, which began on Sunday evening and lasted into the early hours of Monday morning.
The stunning clips were filmed in various parts of the country, including Coupar Angus, Perth, Bonnybridge and Wormit.
Footage clearly shows strikes of fork lightning tear through pitch black sky, which would otherwise be missed in the blink of an eye.
This comes as the Met Office issued one of two yellow thunderstorm warnings on Sunday, as parts of the country saw rain paired with thunder and lightning.
A second yellow weather warning for thunder and lightning has been issued by the Met Office, which is to remain in place for most of the country until midnight on Monday.
The Met Office have further warned that thunder storms may cause possible disruptions on Monday - as chances of flooding or lightning strikes could result in delays or cancellations to trains and bus services.
A separate yellow rain warning has been issued for southern Scotland, which will see spells of heavy rain on Tuesday from midnight until 10am.
