Spectacular and exclusive island resting in middle of lake is up for grabs

A beautiful Island in the middle of a lake could be your idea getaway, if you are looking for some peace and silence from your busy days.

Rabbit Island, nested in the middle of a lake in Ireland, is a luxurious fishing lodge available to rent.

Built on 26 acres of land, Rabbit Island offers incredible views and fishing opportunities. As well as a historic fishing lodge that dates back to 1904, holding up to groups of 10 people.

On the lodge there is an ensuite master bedroom that leads directly out onto a veranda that overlooks the beautiful lake.

Upstairs of the lodge, you’ll find two bedrooms with more located on the ground floor.

The Island is accessed through Kenny's Bay and is 10-minutes from Hendford Town.

Renting the Island would be an ideal gateway for any fishing enthusiast or anyone looking for a gateway.

The lake is known for its fishing, especially its wild brown trout and salmon.

The fishing season runs from February 15 until September 30, with brown trout available throughout the season and Salmon available from May.

But, if you’re not a fishing enthusiast, that’s okay- there are plenty of other Island destinations around the UK with great offers and filled with fun.

Sark Island

According to Holidayextra.com, Sark Island is one of the top rated Island’s to visit in the UK. It has a population of 600 and is one of the smallest Islands. But the lack of size allows for rawness, historical and rugged beauty that has been untouched.

Cars are also banned from Sark, the only vehicles found on the Island are modified tractors or horse-drawn carts.

Isle of Wight

Isle of Wight is also another option, given its sandy beaches, model village and railway - the Island is a great place for a family gateway. The Island is most easily reached by a hovercraft, departing from Swansea in Portsmouth.

Skye Island

Skye is known as a ‘rugged and romantic’ Island and also the largest of the Scottish Isles. It is known for its dramatic, mountainous scenery, misty skies and abundant wildlife.

The Island is popular for its breathtaking scenery and clean air. There is also lots to do beyond walking and hiking, the island is filled with activities such as speed boating and jeep safari tours.
