Specialist recruitment firm FPSG has appointed a new director responsible for its technology, data and science department.
Ciaran Ahern will now lead the recently-launched internal team.
He has worked in technology, data and transformation recruitment for more than 22 years.
During his career, Ahern has covered all aspects of technology and his current focus is on development and data, with a particular interest in start-ups and scaling organisations, particularly in fintech, life sciences, medtech, biotech and pharma.
FPSG has doubled its tech and science team from three to seven full time staff over the 12 months. After entering the sector last year, its life sciences team has now expanded to three - with further growth planned.
It also secured offices in Edinburgh and Glasgow and plans to hire at least 10 more people.
FPSG is aiming to make the additional hires in technology, data, scientific and professional service, in order to further support its candidate and client needs in the UK, Europe and the US.
Ahern said: “When I was approached by FPSG it was exciting to hear their plans especially as at the time we were in the grip of lockdown - the plans were around expansion at a time when most other consultancies were standing still or shrinking.”
