Police rushed to Merry Street, Motherwell , this morning after reports of men with firearms.
Around 10 police cars blocked the street as specialist officers swooped the property at around 10.40am.
Several people were arrested in connection with the incident.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police Scotland officers were called to Merry Street, Motherwell at around 10.40am today following reports of men with firearms within a property in the area.
"Specialist officers attended and a number of people were arrested in connection with the incident.
"Enquiries are ongoing."
