Special tribute to Belfast dad-of-three who died of cancer

A dad-of-three who died of cancer just two months after he was diagnosed has been remembered in a touching tribute by his family.

Stephen McFall, from the Markets area of South Belfast , died surrounded by his loved ones on November 22.

Mr McFall was the husband of Lizzie and father of Stephen, Kirsty and late Conor.

He met his wife, Lizzie, when he was 14, and was described a "devoted husband and father".

"(Stephen) was not only a father to his children, but a father figure to all of his nieces and nephews, who all came to him and absolutely idolised him."

Mr McFall's funeral mass was held on November 26 at Malachy's Church, with large numbers in attendance.

Speaking at the service, Fr Michael McGinnity said the turnout was a fitting tribute to Stephen and the high esteem he was held by his family and friends.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, son and brother," they said.

"They would have gone to him with any sorts of problems.

"They all just loved him."
