Special edition Manchester United Chinese New Year kit leaked

Manchester United's special edition kit to celebrate the Chinese New Year has been leaked but it will not be worn by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side for an official match.

The strip, which will be sold by Adidas when it becomes available to purchase, is adorned with numerous dragons to mark the 2020 Chinese New Year, which falls on January 25th.

Reportedly based upon the same template as the 2018 Adidas x EA Sports shirts that featured in FIFA 19, the shirt sticks with the club's famous red-themed kits and features a black 1990s-inspired collar.

The Manchester United badge and the Adidas logo are both gold, sitting in the middle of the shirt, while the numerous dragons on the design are black and white.

The shirt is part of a wider Manchester United Chinese New Year range that fans will be able to get their hands on from Adidas, with a pair of trousers also leaked in the images.

Adidas will also reportedly be releasing similar celebration clothing for Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus and Real Madrid, maximising their partnerships across the continent.

However, the shirt will not be worn in an official match and United will instead stick to their traditional kits throughout the season.
