Female police officers have taken to wearing their male colleagues' trousers because the standard-issue female cut is so uncomfortable and unflattering.
One lady rozzer said in a survey reported by the Daily Mail: 'My friend made a comment when I joined the service that all policewomen have fat behinds. I had to explain that it's not the bums - it's the trousers.'
The trousers are also difficult to run in, making it hard for women to pursue suspects.
Stab vests can be 'incredibly uncomfortable' for women with large chest sizes, the paper adds. Happily, the Met is addressing the issue and has asked the London College of Fashion to design a new uniform. It may include combat trousers.
