Special Celebration on National Donut Day in Hollywood

People across the United States celebrated the National Donut Day on Friday.

But the celebration in Hollywood was special this year after people competed to eat the largest number of donuts.

The contestants’ goal was to break the previous world record of devouring 55 pieces in eight minutes, hit by Joey Chestnut, who missed the competition this year.

This year, Matthew Stoney won after eating only 48 pieces of donuts, and said he had health problems the night before the contest. "I had nosebleeds and the air was dry in my room," he explained.

While Stoney seemed satisfied for winning, the others seemed sick at the end of the competition, and they probably will not touch donuts again until next year's competition.
