Spartans open as slim favorites over Mississippi State in NCAA Tournament first round matchup

Mississippi State Spartans NCAA Tournament Michigan State

Michigan State basketball is the lower seed but according to the oddsmakers, it is the favorite to win Thursday’s NCAA Tournament matchup vs. Mississippi State.

The Spartans have opened as a 1.5-point favorite over the Bulldogs. The betting odds are courtesy of FanDuel.

Michigan State is the No. 9 seed in Thursday’s matchup against No. 8 seed Mississippi State. The winner will advance to most likely face No. 1 seed North Carolina in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
