Sparta Prague's Celtic heroics inspired by Arsene Wenger trademark as Tomas Rosicky recreates iconic look

A lacklustre defensive performance. Low morale. Clinical finishing.

There were a number of factors cited for Celtic's embarrassing 4-1 defeat against Sparta Prague in the Europa League on Thursday night, but the true reason may just have come to light.

Former Arsenal star Tomáš Rosický is now Sporting Director with Sparta, and was at Celtic Park to watch his side's comprehensive victory.

He was pictured alongside manager Václav Kotal prior to kick-off, and his extra, extra long jacket drew comparisons with his former boss Arsene Wenger.

Rosický has today posted about the jacket on Instagram, saying: "Arsene Wenger inspired me in many ways. Will be rocking his trademark coat.

"Three points against Celtic yesterday. The coat will travel with me everywhere from now on."

The Czech attacking midfielder scored 28 goals in 247 games for Arsenal, before moving to Sparta and eventually retiring in December 2017.

Celtic have now taken just one point from their opening three Group H games, and face Sparta again in Prague on November 26.

Neil Lennon's side will attempt to bounce back from the catastrophic result when they face Motherwell at Fir Park on Sunday.
