Sparta Prague in racism storm as Monaco striker left shaken by alleged abuse from stands

AS Monaco have filed a complaint regarding alleged racial abuse of their players during a Champions League qualifier at Sparta Prague.

The report concerns racist chanting from the home stands and is the latest incident to blight Czech football after Sparta's city and Czech title rivals, Slavia, were embroiled in a row with Rangers regarding their own player Ondrej Kudela.

The defender was found by UEFA to have abused Ibrox midfielder Glen Kamara last season.

That led to the minimum sanction of a 10 game ban while Kamara was given three matches for confronting Kudela in the tunnel.

Now Sparta fans have been referred to UEFA during the third qualifying round tie when hateful chanting was allegedly directed towards Monaco striker Aurelien Tchouameni.

The 21-year-old opened the scoring after 37 minutes to hand the Ligue 1 club a massive advantage at the break.

But according to Get French Football News, he was seen looking visibly distressed at something directed towards him from the stands at Letna Stadium.

French outlet Canal+ quickly confirmed that he and his team-mates had lodged an official complaint.
