A Spar worker helped prevent a 'potentially serious accident' after spotting a drunk person about to drive their car.
Jade, assistant manager at Spar, saw the member of the public who was 'clearly intoxicated' and knew she needed to stop it from happening.
She was able to stop it and alerted colleagues who then called the police.
Posting on the Ormskirk police Facebook page, police constable Steve praised Jade's 'quick actions' earlier this week.
He said: "I’d like to introduce you all to Jade, Jade is the Assistant Manager at the Spar at Marks Square, Tarleton.
"Earlier this week Jade’s actions prevented a potentially serious incident.
"Jade witnessed a member of the public who was clearly intoxicated about to drive their vehicle.
"Jade managed to stop this from happening and alerted colleagues who alerted police."
Officers in the area added a thank you to the post, saying that Jade's 'bravery' potentially prevented a 'serious incident'.
The post said: "We’d like to thank you for your quick actions and bravery in dealing with this incident which allowed us to prevent someone from drink driving and potentially a more serious incident.
"Great community teamwork! Take care and stay safe."
