Spanish media single out 'catastrophic' Barcelona stars after Champions League exit to Liverpool

Spanish media have reacted strongly to Barcelona crashing out of the Champions League to Liverpool.

The La Liga champions led 3-0 going into Tuesday night's showdown, and were left stunned by Jurgen Klopp's side who ran out 4-0 winners.

Two Barcelona stars in particular were singled by the press in Spain following the stunning defeat.

Both Philippe Coutinho and Ivan Rakitic were awarded ratings of zero by Sport.

The former Liverpool midfielder failed to impress and Ernesto Valverde replaced Coutinho on the hour mark.

Mundo Deportivo described the playmaker as 'invisible' following his tepid display.
