Spanish club 'still waiting' on move for Nottingham Forest striker

Huesca are reportedly ‘still waiting’ for Nottingham Forest striker Rafa Mir.

Mir has been linked with a move away from the City Ground after struggling to make an impact following his summer loan move from Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Today’s (Wednesday) edition of Spanish newspaper AS has a report on the striker headlined ‘Huesca still waiting for striker Rafa Mir’.

The report claims the Segunda Division side have made a striker their priority and Mir is at the top of the list.

They are said to have been watching him since last season and despite dropping down from La Liga, they still believe it is a move possible.

The Wolves loanee has struggled since his move to Forest, making 13 appearances – nine of them as a substitute – and failing to find the back of the net.

Real Zaragoza also made a “request” for his signature, according to reports in Spain.

Sabri Lamouchi has previously addressed questions over Mir’s exclusion from matchday squads.

“No, it was nothing special,” he said, when asked about the omission at Hull City.

“It was just our decision, and nothing else.”
