A pet spaniel was knifed to death and her pug pal had to be put to sleep after they were brutally attacked in their kennel.
Teenager Milly Williams made the horrifying discovery in the garden of her family's home.
Spaniel Fane, five, was found with blood pouring from a wound in his neck, while 14-year-old pug Olive, suffered significant serious injuries.
Big sister Mercedes Williams was on holiday with her parents at the time, and told North Wales Live that the incident has devastated the family.
She said: "Milly had gone out for a cigarette and she could see Fane was shaking.
"When she went over, she could see blood pumping out of his neck. She's only 18, she was petrified.
"They held his wounds down and rang the police, but by then, it was too late."
Frane died around 1am from his wounds and Olive's her injuries were so severe she was put down.
Mercedes, 28, says the incident has shocked the community in the Wern Las area of North Wales.
She added: "Olive hadn't been stabbed but she was taken to the vet and had to be put down because of her injuries.
"We're distraught and in disbelief that somebody could carry out such a brutal attack, while my sister and her friends were in the house.
"And to think there are people walking around with knives, it is petrifying. We can’t have people like this walking around at night with knives living in our community.
"It's shaken everyone on the whole street up, everyone is scared. The whole neighbourhood is scared of going out."
Police confirmed they are investigating the incident.
