Spain fears tourism from France could dry up, slowing its recovery

France warned its citizens on Thursday to avoid Spain and Portugal for holidays this summer due to rising Covid-19 cases. Spain, however, is relying on tourism to restart its economy and the loss of French tourists will be a huge blow for embattled tourism companies. Meanwhile, holiday and flight bookings from the UK surged after the government announced that it would ease quarantine restrictions for England.

But first, the G20 summit in Venice begins this Friday, with finance ministers gathering to discuss global tax reform.
