Spain, Egypt, Cyprus among destinations Tui will take sun-seekers to soon

Travel company TUI has revealed next seven destinations it will be reopening soon to holidaymakers.

Due to the coronavirus and its quarantine restrictions, TUI has offered a reduced summer programme, with only Greece, Italy, Jamaica, Portugal and Turkey open to customers.

So these latest offers should get more sunseekers reaching for their suitcases, reports KentLive.

Also, as part of its 'Holiday Promise', the company is now saying all bookings in 2020 have Covid cover included, with a spokesman adding: "This means you can amend your holiday for free if you contract Covid-19 before you travel. It’s also got a Holiday Guarantee insurance policy built-in.

"If you contract Covid-19 while you’re away, you’re covered for overseas medical assistance, testing costs and a flight home for treatment if required.

"It’s designed for use alongside your usual travel insurance, and is subject to T&Cs."

Among the new destinations opening soon to customers is Cape Verde .

A TUI spokesman said: "We’re keeping a close eye on government guidelines and expect to be able to start flying to Cape Verde again in the coming weeks."

For those looking to fly to a Mediterranean island, the firm says it expects to be able to start flying to Cyprus again soon.

TUI says: "You can go on holiday to Egypt with TUI from September."

Restrictions are in place for flights to and from Morocco so TUI has cancelled all Morocco holidays departing on or before Thursday, September 10, 2020.

"If you’re affected by this, you’ll be able to cancel and receive a full cash refund, or amend your holiday and receive a re-booking incentive," says the firm.

"We’re keeping a close eye on government guidelines and expect to be able to start flying to Morocco again soon."

There is also good news for those interested in flying to Spain.

TUI says: "Due to the continued UK Foreign Office advice against all but essential travel to all areas of Spain, we have cancelled mainland Spain holidays departing on or before Friday, August 28, 2020.

"All affected customers will be able to amend their holiday for free and receive a re-booking incentive, or cancel and receive a full cash refund.

"Due to the ongoing uncertainty, if you’re due to travel to any area of Spain on or before Monday, August 31, you can amend your holiday for free and receive a re-booking incentive of up to £500, or cancel and receive a full cash refund.

"Customers currently on holiday are able to continue their holiday as planned."

"We’re keeping a close eye on government guidelines and expect to be able to start flying to Spain again soon," they added.

Flights to Tunisia are also expected to take off in the next few weeks.

The travel company concluded: "Due to the change in travel advice for Malta, we have cancelled all Malta holidays due to depart on or before August 31, 2020.

"If you’re affected by this, you’ll be able to cancel and receive a full cash refund, or amend your holiday and receive a re-booking incentive.

"We’re keeping a close eye on government guidelines and expect to be able to start flying to Malta again soon."
