With a flurry of interest in a possible new series on Sky One, Monkey notes from Wikipedia that Jacqueline Pearce, who played the memorable villainess Servalan, has forsaken Britain for a more exotic lifestyle. Pearce now lives in the far-flung reaches of the Limpopo province of South Africa at the Vervet Monkey Foundation where she looks after orphaned simians. She has been there for the past few years and has no plans to return to England as "she is already home". "I have grown as a woman since living in Africa, and that growth will be reflected in my work as an actress. I send big love and monkey hugs to you all" she writes on her blog.
