LUCKNOW: Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav and Rashtriya Lok Dal (RLD) president Jayant Chaudhary will share the stage with West Bengal chief minister Mamata Banerjee to address a joint rally in Varanasi on March 3.
Party sources said this will be the first time that the Trinamool Congress chief will share the stage with Akhilesh for any election related event.
On February 8, Mamata had visited Lucknow and addressed a press conference at the Samajwadi Party headquarters where she issued an appeal to the people to support the SP. Banerjee tweaked the "khela hobe' campaign anthem of her party for last year's Assembly polls to 'Khela Hoga' (the game is on) and stressed that if "Bengal can do it (defeat BJP), so can Uttar Pradesh".
