Southwestern Railway train delays: Journeys to London Waterloo disrupted until midday due to 'multiple incidents'

Commuters faced a morning of delays with all Southwestern Railway lines into Waterloo hit by disruption today.

The company said there had been "multiple incidents between Wimbledon and London Waterloo" including overrunning engineering works, a late running stone clearing train and an ill passenger.

There were also issues with a level crossing at Hampton.

Trains were being delayed for up to 15 minutes or "revised", with disruption expected to last until at least midday.

If a journey is delayed by more than 15 minutes, travellers can claim back compensation.

As of midday the delays had cleared on the line.
