Southport Air Show 2019: Timetable, dates, weather and schedule in full ahead of air festival

Thousands of visitors are expected to flock to Merseyside this weekend to witness the Southport Air Show.

The annual flying event will feature displays from prolific military aircraft from all over the world, although this year it does not include the Red Arrows.

In addition to the flying programme, there will be plenty of things to do around the site, including flight simulators, static aircraft, wall-climbing, assault courses and a diving tank.

Here’s everything to know about the Southport Air Show this weekend.

When is the Southport air show?

Debut: for its first time at the Southport show, the Saab Viggen will make an appearance. (Visit Southport )

The air show beings on Friday September 6 and ends on Sunday September 8.

Gates for the show on Friday open at 6pm.

Friday evening will see temperatures of 14C.

Sunshine is forecast throughout the day on Saturday, with temperatures topping 16C throughout the afternoon.
